Jorge Vega Umana
Jorge Vega Umana is a Nicaragua born, New York based Fashion Designer. Jorge trained as a lawyer and worked for several years in his country mostly working as legal counsel to help small businesses grow around Nicaragua.
Born into a prominent family and growing up in Granada, Jorge was surrounded by stylish women who peaked his interest in fashion.
Thus, his creative passions needed to be nurtured and he moved to New York. Here in New York, he became the Visual Merchandiser for the East Coast Division of Porsche Design.
At the same time, he started his own business designing cocktail and evening dresses for private clients.
Because of this success, he has decided to present his premier collection for Spring/Summer 2013. Entitled AMORE it will be presented at the Alvin Ailey Studios on September 13, 2012.
